Investigations and Reviews
Choices and Voices offer a wide variety of investigations and reviews to local authorities and organisations, from small desktop reviews to large, complex investigations across multi agency organisations with multiple interviewees. Given our breadth of expertise and experience we are able carry out due diligence in all our investigations and reviews based on approved processes and frameworks respected for their thoroughness and agreed by local authorities and organisations.

Our Investigative Experience

- Complex complaints, governance and compliance
- Operational and practice performance
- Investigating organisational and cross boundary child abuse
- Investigation of historic sexual abuse with over 100 victims
Our Reviewing Experience
Some of our reviews have included;
- Providing ‘critical friends’ to review social care practice to ensure services are adequate and children are safeguarded across children in need of help and protection, children looked after and care leavers
- Reviewed and examined current policy’s, procedures and practice against robust audit activity to produce thematic review reports
- Children’s Social Care Advisers as per DfE Education and Children’s Social Care (ECSC) approved framework
- Reviewed issues of bullying, harassment and breaches of confidentiality
- Provided scrutiny and review report to Healthwatch board
